Custom agents in Kolmena are AI assistants you design for specific jobs. Unlike Maya, your personal agent that handles general requests, a custom agent has its own identity, instructions, and skills tailored to a particular workflow. Your agents live on the Agents page, where you can browse them as cards or a table. Each agent shows its name, description, runtime status, and connected integrations. You can filter by All or Active, search by name, and sort by newest or oldest.

What you can configure

Every agent has a dedicated workspace with several areas you can set up:

Basics

Set the agent’s name, avatar, description, system instructions, and temperature. Manage which models it can use and whether its memory is isolated.

Channels

Connect the agent to Telegram, Discord, or X/Twitter so it can talk to people outside Kolmena.

Integrations

Add MCP services and apps that give the agent tools like web search, file access, or third-party APIs.

Skills

Install or write skills that teach the agent how to perform specialized tasks.

Examples

Provide example conversations so the agent learns the tone and format you expect.

Knowledge

Upload documents and files the agent can reference during conversations.

Agent status

Each agent displays a runtime status badge: You can start or stop any agent from its card on the Agents page, or from the agent’s own header.

Marketplace agents

Some agents in your list may come from the Marketplace. These show a Marketplace badge and may have limited configuration options depending on the listing.
