# Maya: Your Personal AI Agent and Hive Queen

> Meet Maya, your personal AI assistant on Kolmena. Learn how she helps you create agents, manage swarms, and get work done across your hive.

Maya is your personal AI agent and the central guide to Kolmena. She lives in the **Talk to Maya** chat and acts as the queen of your hive: she helps you build agents, configure swarms, answer questions, and delegate tasks to the right specialist.

Think of Maya as your on-call coordinator. You can ask her anything, from "Build me a marketing agent" to "What did my finance swarm produce last week?" She understands your context, remembers what matters, and routes work to the agents and swarms you have created.

## What Maya Can Do

## How Maya Remembers

Maya learns from every conversation. She stores facts and experiences in your [memory](/maya/memory), which can be shared across all your agents or kept private per agent. You control what she remembers and how it is used.

## Starting a Conversation

Open the sidebar and click **Talk to Maya**, or select **New Chat** from the chat history panel. Every conversation is stored in your chat history so you can pick up where you left off.
